PORLOCK COMMUNITY INITIATIVE SCHEME
The scheme is designed to help Porlock people who need:_
- Help to have essential shopping and medication ordered from local Porlock Shops and delivered to their home.
- Or want a friendly person to talk to.
What to do
- Phone the Visitor Centre – 01643 863150. 10.00am to 12.30pm Monday to Saturday.
- The Visitor Centre will contact a volunteer who will then contact you
- You and the volunteer make arrangements between yourselves
Please help the volunteer, if they deliver to your home, to minimise physical contactby following the latest government guidelines.
It is completely normal for all of us to be concerned/worried about the effects and uncertainty of Coronavirus but if you are struggling to cope with problems such as anxiety, panic or depression then you may find this counselling provision and offer of telephone support helpful.

Message from Ziangs at the Olde Chapel Tel: 862 241
We are having trouble sourcing spices and other hard to find ingredients that we use in our cooking, because of this we will be temporaly closing down Ziangs at the olde chapel until the supply chain starts back up again.
However, we will be opening “The Chippy” in the very near future,where we will serve affordable cod and chips and other items normally found on a chippy menu.. Thanks for your understanding and your patience. The Ziangs team

Shop Opening Hours
Porlock Shops are currently well stocked and providing an excellent service and our thanks must go out to all the people who are working really hard in difficult circummstances . It’s at times like this that you realise how important our local shops are and lets hope we all continue to support them when this is all over
If you do have to visit the shops, please remain vigilant about distancing .Where possible consider using some of the home delivery service’s the village shops are offering
